What’s better than enjoying a from-scratch hotcake drizzled and dripping with real New Hampshire maple syrup in the spring? Nothing!
If you're looking to try some local maple syrup, it doesn't get much better than Parker's Maple Barn Restaurant in Mason, where the pancakes are served with their own homemade maple syrup and the dining room is an 1800s dairy barn and silo.
Polly's Pancake Parlor in Sugar Hill serves buckwheat, cornmeal, oatmeal buttermilk, gingerbread, and whole wheat pancakes and waffles. You can pick your own toppings, including chocolate chips.
Benton's Sugar Shack in Thornton is known for its fluffy buttermilk pancakes, served in all sorts of flavors with maple syrup from its family-owned sugar shack.
Heritage Farm Pancake House in Sanbornton is open for the spring season only, now until June. The pancakes are served with maple syrup made from a wood-fired evaporator right at the family-owned farm.
